Once you’ve saved a video, you can put it on any page in a few ways. Adding your first video covers the basics; this article covers each option in a bit more depth.
Find the shortcode and embed code
Go to WP Lead Player › Manage Videos. Each video row shows its Short Code, for example , and an Embed Code button.
Block editor
- Edit the page and click +.
- Search for Lead Player Video and add it.
- Choose your video from the dropdown, which lists every video by title. If you haven’t made one yet, it shows a link to Add Video.
Shortcode
Paste the shortcode, such as , into a Shortcode block, a classic editor, or any page builder that accepts shortcodes, such as Thrive Architect or Divi.
Elementor
When Elementor is active, WP Lead Player adds its own widget. Search the widget panel for Lead Player Video and drag it onto the page. It behaves exactly like the block and the shortcode.
Embed code
Click Embed Code in Manage Videos and copy the code to use the player on another site.
The embed code is an iframe that loads the player from your WordPress site. That means the opt-in form, call to action, Social Lock and HTML overlay all work, and leads and viewing figures are saved in your WordPress, not on the other site. The embed page also carries Open Graph tags, so a shared link shows a proper preview.
Manage your videos
In Manage Videos you can also search, and use each row’s Edit, Clone, Stats and Delete links. Clone makes a copy with the same settings, which is handy when several videos share the same overlays. Tick videos and choose Trash from Bulk actions to remove several at once.
