Showing your own content with an HTML overlay

An HTML Overlay lets you place your own content over the video: an offer, a note, a link or anything you can write in the editor.

Set it up

  1. Open the video and click the HTML Overlay tab.
  2. Set Include HTML Overlay to YES.
  3. Write your content in HTML Content. Use the Visual tab to write normally, or the Code tab to paste HTML.
  4. Set the Position with the Top and Left boxes, in pixels measured from the top-left corner of the player.
  5. Choose the Location: Beginning, Middle or End. For Middle, enter the point in the Seconds box.
  6. Under Stay upto, choose Time and enter how many Seconds it stays, or End to keep it until the video ends.
  7. Set Pause Video to YES to pause the video while the overlay shows, or NO to keep playing.
  8. Set Allow Skip to YES to let viewers close it.
  9. Style it with Overlay Background, Overlay Background Opacity and Overlay Button Background.
  10. Click SAVE AND CLOSE.

Ideas

  • A limited-time discount code.
  • A “Read the full guide” link.
  • A short note pointing to the next video.
