The video won’t save
Every video needs a Width and Height under Video Size on the Video Settings tab. Fill in both, for example 640 and 360, then save again.
The video doesn’t play
- Check the Video Url works when you paste it into a new browser tab.
- Make sure the right Video Sources option is selected for the link: File or stream URL for MP4, WebM and .m3u8 links, YouTube Video for YouTube and Vimeo Video for Vimeo.
- For Bunny Stream or Cloudflare Stream, use the .m3u8 link, not the page link.
- An uploaded file must be reachable over https from the public internet. Some hosts block direct video access; if so, ask your host.
- A stream must be publicly playable. A signed or tokenised Bunny or Cloudflare link stops working when its token expires, which looks exactly like a broken video. If the stream is restricted by referrer or domain, allow your site’s domain in the streaming service.
- For YouTube, use a link with nothing after the video ID (see Video sources: uploaded files, streams, YouTube and Vimeo).
Visitors can’t see the video
If Who can watch is set to Logged-in users only, logged-out visitors see a bordered panel reading “This video is for members.” with a Log in to watch button, which brings them back to the same page afterwards. The video isn’t on the page at all for them. Switch it to Anyone if it should be public.
The watermark doesn’t show
The viewer Watermark only shows for logged-in viewers. Test while logged in.
The video doesn’t autoplay, or plays with no sound
An autoplaying video always starts muted, because browsers refuse to start a video with sound the viewer didn’t ask for. Viewers can unmute it from the control bar. If you want sound from the start, set Autoplay to NO and let viewers press play.
The video doesn’t stick when I scroll
- Check Sticky player is set to Yes — follow the viewer down the page on the video.
- The video must be playing. A paused video never follows the viewer.
- If you closed the docked player, it stays closed. Reload the page.
- On phones, check On phones too is ticked under When a video docks in WP Lead Player › Settings.
