You’ve already subscribed
With Smart gating on (WP Lead Player › Settings), anyone who’s already subscribed skips the form. That includes you after testing – this is the most common “the form has stopped working” report. Open the page in a private or incognito window (see Resetting your browser to test like a new visitor).
The opt-in isn’t switched on
Check Include Opt-In Box is YES on the video’s Opt-In tab, and that you saved.
It shows at the wrong time
Check the Location. For Middle, check the Seconds value. If you used Move the opt-in to … on the Retention screen, that changed the position.
Caching and script optimisation
WP Lead Player works behind caching plugins such as LiteSpeed, WP Rocket and Cloudflare, so caching alone is rarely the cause. If you’ve just changed a setting and don’t see it, clear your cache and reload.
Two optimisation settings do break it:
- Delay JavaScript until interaction – stops the player starting until the visitor clicks something.
- Minify or combine JavaScript – can reorder or defer the plugin’s scripts, which the player needs to load in order.
Exclude WP Lead Player’s scripts from Delay JS first; that fixes it more often than anything else.
Leads don’t appear
Check WP Lead Player › Leads. Every sign-up is saved there first, even if sending to your email tool fails.
