If you collect sign-ups from people in the UK or EU, they can ask you for a copy of their data, or ask you to delete it. Here’s what WP Lead Player holds and how to deal with a request.
What’s stored for each lead
- name and email address
- IP address
- the video and page they signed up on, and the landing page
- campaign tags (UTM source, medium, campaign, term and content) and the referring site
- how much of the video they watched, and which split-test version they saw
- when they signed up, and whether they’ve unsubscribed
They may also be on one of your subscriber lists, and in any email tool you send leads to.
Someone asks for a copy
- Go to WP Lead Player › Leads and click Export.
- Open the CSV and keep only that person’s row.
- Send it to them securely.
Someone asks to be deleted
- Remove their lead from WP Lead Player › Leads.
- Remove them from any Subscriber List they’re on.
- Delete them from any email tool you send leads to – WP Lead Player can’t do that for you.
What’s in the visitor’s browser
WP Lead Player also stores a few small items in the visitor’s own browser, none of which contain a name or email. See What WP Lead Player stores in a visitor’s browser.
