The Licence screen
Go to WP Lead Player › Licence. Once your licence is active you’ll see:
- Status – Active.
- Renews or expires on – for example 2027-10-24.
- Last checked – when the plugin last checked with the licence server, for example “Last checked 8 hours ago”.
- Licence key – from your purchase email, shown in the format XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
Two buttons:
- Re-check licence – checks your licence again now, for example after renewing.
- Remove from this site – takes the licence off this site and frees that site on your plan, so you can use it elsewhere.
Updates
While your licence is active, updates arrive in Dashboard › Updates like any other plugin.
Renewals
Your licence is a yearly subscription that pays for updates, security hardening, new features and upkeep. It’s billed as a PayPal pre-approved payment, so it renews automatically each year. Keep it active and you keep your early-bird price.
To manage or cancel it, use the pre-approved payments (automatic payments) settings in your PayPal account – PayPal handles that side.
What happens if it expires?
The plugin keeps working whatever the licence says. A licence controls automatic updates and support, not whether your videos play. Your subscribers stay where they are. You stop receiving updates and support until you renew.
Moving to another site
- On the old site, go to WP Lead Player › Licence and click Remove from this site.
- On the new site, enter your key and click Activate.
Staging and local copies don’t need a licence slot. The licence only provides updates and support; it never locks the plugin.
